Corrosion resistance of aluminum and zinc parts
can be achieved by applying a chromate conversion. Chromating of aluminum is an economical replacement for anodizing when abrasion resistance is not required. It is also an excellent pre-treatment method for powder paint or adhesives since it greatly enhances the products ability to form a bond with the aluminum.
Additional Benefits include:
- Excellent use for marine industry and high humidity areas.
- Excellent use for electrical/electronics equipment because it remains conductive.
- Better unpainted resistance than phosphate systems.
- Increased corrosion resistance over unpainted surface.
